Expand your boating skills by assembling, decorating, and racing a 12 inch Pinewood Sailboat.

All parts, and tools are provided, the boat yard will be in Pavilion A (tennis court parking lot) and we’ll race between two nearby piers.  You can DIY or have a crew help with the one hour of construction, which amounts to just some easy taping and sanding, decoration, and then the boat launch, and recovery.  Sail trim is critical to success and will test your seamanship in the unpredictable waters of the marina.  The boat is yours to keep, and prizes will be awarded for the fastest and most beautiful sailboats.  Michelle Weidner (Sea Your Future), fresh from a San Antonio cooking class, will prepare delicious walking tacos (similar to Frito pie, but for tacos and much better) so just BYOB and a small treat.  A nominal cost of $10 is required to cover the cost of your new yacht.  Hurry – new yacht supplies are limited!
