Holiday Deserts

It was a sweet and bright night at the marina as two dozen members brought selected treats for our enjoyment.  Pavilion B looked good as host Liz Eisemann awarded a valuable West Marine gift card to Ina Lackmann for her delicious rum cake.  Not sure what she’ll purchase, maybe a new fishing pole and lures (maybe not).

Lithium Batteries

The Members room was SRO as our favorite boat tech Daniel Knierien gave an informative presentation about lithium boat batteries.  We’ve heard about them, now we know about the high energy output and also the expense.  Daniel brought in a demo battery set, and also showed us a pristine installation on a satisfied customer’s marina sailboat. Thank you Daniel!

Volunteers: A 2024 WYC Board of Directors change will make the social events easier to organize by dividing the social director into two positions, one for happy hours and another one for parties.  For more info regarding the opportunities just send an email to
