Waterford Yacht Club Newsletter – November 2020

Happy Hour Nov. 6th – About 20 members attended this regular event.  Michelle Weidner setup the pavilion for us and former commodore Rus Records spoke about the release of his new novel, Spies Like Us.

Redfish Raft-up Nov. 7th – 8th – A dozen boaters took the day-off from boat maintenance and gathered on the island for a Red River catered BBQ lunch plus side dishes and deserts provided by several members.  Two skippers trusted each other and really did raft-up, and another two spent the night at anchor.  Many thanks to our Uber dinghy skippers who took members to and from the island.

New Members – Please welcome new members William and Linda on the SV Rainbow at pier 11 slip 24.

Happy Hour Dec. 4th – Stop by Pavilion B and enjoy the company of other boaters, while maintaining an appropriate social distance.

Desert Contest & Christmas Lights Dec 11th – WYC’s last event of the year will be sweet.  Prepare a desert to share with members with awards for favorite desert and beverage.  We’ll also take a stroll along the promenade to view the brightly decorated boats.
