Recent Events

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta:  Social Director Michelle Weidner assembled a great Latin themed party for us.  Members were well supplied with delicious walking tacos plus queso and margaritas by Laurie and Vickie.  After numerous hits, the pinata it finally broke open and sprayed candy across the floor.  Luckily Liz was there to help pick up the sweet contents.

Resfish Ishland: Poor weather conditions again caused the April event to be cancelled.  WYC will ultimately prevail and get us back to the island – watch for a future evite.

On The Horizon

Bayland Marina  May 27- May29: WYC travel via the HSC, or by road, to Bayland Marina.  Boaters will watch the tides, pass marker 100, trun to starboard, stay in the narrow channel and dock at the marina. More details will be published in an evite.  WYC will purchase Saturday night appetizers at the marina O’Neals bar and grill.  Members should contact the marina at 281 422-8900 and reserve a slip for at least the Saturday overnight stay.

Bloody Mary Sunday June 4: Treasurer Vickie Voorhies will provide all the fixins, including bacon, so you can assemble and enjoy a delicious liquid breakfast.  Mimosas will also be available at the Pavilion B event.

Dinghy Run Saturday June 24: Add fresh gasoline to the tank and give your little yacht a workout.  Fleet Captain Steve Nolin will lead us as we crisscross the lake and stop by our favorite shoreside venues.  No dinghy?  No problem, there will be room for extra crew on several dinghies – just ask.

Volunteers: The club program can always use another volunteer.  Fo more info regarding the opportunities just send an Email to Commodore@waterfordyc.com.
