Sundance Meeting Room

Marine Interdiction Agents (MIAs) will provide an overview of the mission of CBP and its capabilities here in the Galveston area, in the U.S. and internationally.  An MIA with a strong U.S. Coast Guard background should also be on hand to discuss USCG entry into the U.S., safety and policy.  MIAs will bring and discuss documentation outlining the proper procedures for entering and exiting the U.S. and traveling foreign in a maritime environment.

MIAs will have their interdiction motor vessel (go fast boat) at the dock for display, as well.

The presentation should last one hour to one hour and a half, depending on Q’s and A’s.

There will also be a short twenty minute presentation given by a Special Agent explaining the   mission of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations with emphasis on the Port.

As mentioned above on display and docked at the Sundance transient slip will be a Homeland Security Patrol Boat. This will be your chance to actually see one of these boats up close and personal.
