Wine and Cheese New & Member Party – Our favorite wine executives Tina Pantoja and former Commodore Mike Pantoja hosted another fabulous party for WYC.  Several members added support and once again we enjoyed the ‘Biggest Little Chacutarie Table’ in Texas.  About 50 members and guests filled the Sundance II restaurant as Mike conducted a wine tasting contest and the door prize drawing.  Thank you, Tina and Mike!  One new member signed up at the party, less than previous years, so talk up the club and recruit new members.
New Members – Jacquelyn Banman of the 28ft s/v Caille joined.  She is currently displaced from pier 9 due to construction.  We’ll welcome her back once the dock rebuild is complete.

On The Horizon

Let’s party at T-Bone Tom’s Saturday March 8.  As members take over a couple of tables we’ll enjoy appetizers supplied by WYC.  You’ll purchase your own beverages and dinner (if needed).  Then listen and dance to the live music by classic rock bank ‘Navigators’.  Stay as late as you like, T-Bone’s closes at 11:00pm

Education Seminar Saturday Apr 12, 10am – Rear Commodore Jeff Mountain will start our 2025 series of boating education in the Members room at Sundance, so save the date.

Dock Hop – Saturday Apr 19, 5:00pm – This very successful 2024 event will get a makeover with a new set of marina boat hosts.  Social Directors Amy Holdaway and Simone Gordon will coordinate the evet and make sure we don’t overwhelm any of the boat hosts.  Thinking of which please contact Amy (amyjo67@sbcglobal.net) or Simone (SPG3333@gmail.com) if you’d like to volunteer as a boat host.  An email will be sent out in the coming weeks, please respond so they will know how to group the participating members.

Volunteers: Opportunities for volunteers abound; just contact a club officer and express your desire to volunteer for an event (or two).  Either Social Director Amy Holdaway (amyjo67@sbcglobal.net) or Simone Gordon (SPG3333@gmail.com) will gladly get you started.
