Basic Sail Trim Seminar

sponsored by GBCA (Galveston Bay Cruising Association).

The seminar starts at 9:30 am, Saturday, August 8 and will be located at the GBCA offices in Watergate Marina.

The address is 1500 Marina Bay Drive, Suite 1592, Bldg 113B.

More easily described as the building next to the main pool area at Watergate Marina.

The seminar costs $10 person and includes lunch.

“The GBCA Basic Sail Trim seminar is open to all boat owners and crew that would like to learn the basics of sail trim. The seminar begins at 0930 at the GBCA office. There will be presentations covering the fundamentals of sail trim, sail terminology, and techniques for sailing on different points of sail in different wind conditions. Lunch will be served.

The classroom session will adjourn in time for all to head out on the water to race in the 2015 Rum Race Series.  After racing, we will return to the GBCA office for the Rum Race after-party with refreshments, stories and awards.”
