Recent Events

Holiday Cocktail Contest and Celebration – More than 20 members brought so many holiday cocktails cups of cheer we didn’t have enough outdoor table space and had to move the event indoors.  The delicious offerings ranged from chocolate, a warm liquor punch and rum tropical drinks.  Out of the ten entrants Elfie Boersma and Ronnie Beach made especially tasty beverages and won the contest prizes.

Boat Parade Happy Hour – Tony and Karen Townsend hosted our Happy Hour at their home and let us view the Nassau fireworks display from their front yard and a big part of the Clear Lake Christmas boat parade from their back patio.  It was the perfect event to finish our 2025 program!

On The Horizon

Commodore’s Ball – Saturday January 17, 2026 6:00pm – 10:00– Early next year we’ll celebrate another year with Waterford Yacht Club.  The theme will be Boots and Bling, and will include a choice of dinner entrées plus DJ music and dancing at the Sundance Grill II.  Tickets are on now of sale!  Use the Eventbrite link in the current Evite to purchase your tickets.

WYC Business Meeting Saturday January 17 10:00am-11:00am, Sundance Grill – A few hours before the Ball we’ll conduct the 2026 business meeting.  On the agenda is a review of 2025 activities and finances, a reminder to pay your $150 2026 dues and, of course, the new officers vote.  The WYC board has assembled a slate of volunteers to nominate as the 2026 board of directors.  They, plus any additional nominees will be voted upon at the meeting.
