Recent Events

Lithium Battery System – Daniel Knierien, WYC Member and marine electrical expert, continued his hands-on lithium battery workshop. For about 18 members he explained the pros and cons of a lithium battery system, assembled a mini-network, and as a demo powered up an A/C unit with it.
Holiday Desert Party –  The weather turned wet and cool but did not dampen members holiday spirit.  Almost twenty of us attended the event and sampled the many different treats that covered two tables.  Since there were so many deserts, we naturally had a contest which Elfie Boersma’s almond bars won, and earned her a set of desert plates.  Many thanks to Liz Eisemann who hosted our last event of the year.

On The Horizon

WYC Business Meeting Saturday January 25 10:00am-11:00am, Sundance Grill – A few hours before the Ball we’ll conduct the 2025 business meeting.  On the agenda is a previous year review, a financial review, a reminder to pay 2025 dues and, of course, the new officers vote.  The WYC board has assembled a slate of volunteers to nominate as the 2025 board of directors.  They plus any additional nominees will be voted upon at the meeting.

Volunteers: All WYC needs a few more volunteers.  Amy Holdaway is preparing a pro-forma 2025 calendar ready for you to drop your name into as host for an event.  There is always ample support for a volunteer, so give it try!
