RECENT EVENTS

WYC & WHM: Galveston Bay Education June 13th – The Recreational Boater Guy, Phillip Kropf, presented several great ideas for fully enjoying all Galveston Bay has to offer boaters.  Thank you Rear Commodore Steve Nolin for arranging the event.

Moody Gardens Overnight – Fair weather and the desire to use our boats encouraged a large group of WYC members to tie-up at Moody Gardens in Galveston Island Offatts Bayou.  We took over the dock and then enjoyed the restaurant, pyramid attractions, and the fireworks for a great weekend.  Thank you Fleet Captain Amy Holdaway for organizing the event!

 

WYC Swag – Former Yachtsman of the Year Elfie Boersma has secured a small order of yacht club logo caps for sale.  The hats are priced at only $25 each and, while supply lasts, available at upcoming club events.  Also replace your missing or weather beaten WYC burgee with a fresh new one for only $35.  Look for, or contact Treasurer Vickie Voorhies.

Lost and Found – After an exhaustive search through the Sundance Grill II, manger Paula Price and server Kayland found our missing 6 foot ‘Waterford Yacht Club’ banner.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Singo Bingo Party Saturday July 18 5:00-6:30pm – Hosts Mike and Tina Pantoja will play the tunes and you’ll mark a Bingo like card.  The club will provide light appetizers.  Please respond to the June Evite.

 

 

WYC Birthday Party Saturday September 26 – Our 27-year-old club will have an Oktoberfest theme with grilled brats and other traditional German foods.  Bring your favorite beer to help celebrate the event and a few dollars (cash) for a 50/50 drawing.  Half of the proceeds will go to a local charity.
