Eye Opener, Sunday November 7 – Social Director Elfie Boersma and Bill Adams hosted this morning’s event.  More than 20 early risers were rewarded with a tasty Bloody Mary and other eye openers and caught up with the latest marina chit-chat at Pavilion B.

Redfish Raft-up Friday-Saturday November 20 – 21 – Seven boats with 14 crew members made it to Redfish.  Three volunteers took members on and off the island with their uber-dinghies, a fourth member needs to check his engine.  Onshore we enjoyed the BBQ meal hosted by Treasurer Vickie Voorhies.  Members supported the meal with delicious side dishes and Russell Parrish scavenged the island for additional wood to keep the bonfire going.  It was a pleasant evening so six boats remained on anchor for the overnight stay.  Be sure to ask around about other memorable island events.

Ask-a-Pro Saturday December 4th – Education Director Daniel Knierien spoke to more than a dozen members about important boat maintenance topics.  He covered a wide range of fuel, mechanical and electrical issues we should monitor, plus the methods and tools needed to affect the maintenance.  It turns out there is a right and wrong way to squeezing a wire connector.
