Recent Non-Events

May weekend weather was inconsistent to the extent that two pleasant days couldn’t be put together for the planned overnight stay at Pelican Rest Marina.  Both the May 15-16 and the rescheduled May 22-23 events were cancelled.  Another future date will be arranged soon.

On the Horizon

HVAC Clinic 9:00am – Noon Sat. June 26 – Education Director Daniel Knierien will conduct a hands-on clinic at the Sundance II Palapa.  Compressors will be on display and Daniel will instruct attendees on equipment operation, trouble shooting and repairs.  This time of year our boat air-conditioning is essential so don’t miss out.

Pirate Party 5:00 – 8:00 pm Sat. June 26 – Calling all would be pirates, brigands, and regular boaters.  Plan to muster at the Railean Distillery Buccaneer Bar.  Hosts Michelle Weidner and John Judas join with members Kelly and Mathew Railean for a evening of swagger, delicious appetizers, and ‘homemade’ rum beverages.  Dress for the occasion as the fiercest pirates and costumes will receive a prize.  The Railean Distillery is located at 341 5th Street, San Leon, Texas 77539.

Arrrrrgh!

Happy Hour 6:30 – 9:00pm Friday July 9th – Stop by WHM Pavilion B for a HH of conversation and shared eats.

July 4th Celebration – Be sure to take advantage of these annual festivities: Sundance II hot dog and hamburgers at the marina pool and the Kemah Boardwalk  fireworks in the Clear Lake Channel near markers 5 & 6.  Many boats anchor to view the display so drop your anchor early.

.

Margarita Night 6:00 – 9:00pm Sat. July 24 – The special Margarita theme for this event includes frozen and “on the rocks” contests with prizes.  Hosts Laurie Diehl and Daniel Knierien will organize the party including the needed ice, and blenders for the frozen varieties.
