The WYC was formed in 1999 by a group of charter members led by Bob Trask and Lewis Cade, who wanted to create an active club with social activities and boating programs for sailors and powerboaters alike. Still going strong this year, all events are open to both types of yachtsmen and residents of Waterford Harbor Marina.

Sanctioned by the Yachts Club of America, WYC is a significant Yacht Club in the Gulf Coast; providing an active social calendar for both onshore and offshore events, and educational seminars.  Of special note is WYC’s annual charity regatta which gives the Clear Lake boating community a opportunity to support a local charity.
