The Women of WYC have formed a woman's only group under the leadership of our Commodore to organize seminars and other events specifically oriented toward things yachtswomen are interested in learning. These events are usually held on Saturday mornings. Here are some of the past events.

Medical Emergencies
Presented by WYC member Dr. Suzanne Schafer. Dr. Schafer presented tips for emergency first aid at sea. She discussed how to deal with seizures, head injuries, use of medications, supplies to have aboard, and dealing with specific boating-related injuries or illnesses. |

Basic Navigation Presented by Janet Grobe-Hood of Bluewater Cruising (Jeremy Hood's significant other). Janet covered the basics of navigation, including chartwork, Rules of the Road, distress signals, VHF radio, GPS, and Buoyage. |

Women's Group Dinghy Obstacle Course Jack and Pat Seitzinger will teach how to use your dinghy and practice a on the water obstacle course in Waterford Harbor. |
