Hurricane Prep - 07/09/2011

Mooring your vessel is a process that requires a lot of forethought and preparation. It is not something that can be done at the last minute. As a storm approaches mandatory evacuations may be ordered and roads close so you may or may not have access to your marina. Also there is a time factor to consider as to when you actually start securing your boat. When the wind is above 20 knots you are going to have a very tough time getting sails and canvas off a boat. So if in doubt you need to prepare well in advance have the necessary supplies to do the job.

There are things to do before a storm and when one is predicted to come our way. Here are some ideas and suggestions which may help.
