Our final hurrah of the 2010 season was the Commodore’s Ball, a well-attended black tie affair held at the

Houston Yacht Club. Member Joe Stanfield showed up at this year’s ball (courtesy of much subversive coercion by

Dawna O’neal and Mark and Adriene Clark) to proudly accept the Yachtsman of the Year Award. He also

received a one-year free renewal for his individual efforts in bringing in new members into the club in 2010. Joe,

demonstrating once again his philanthropic nature, donated his renewal back to the club for our silent auction this

fall. A heartfelt thanks to Dawn Jackson and her social committee for another memorable Commodore’s Ball.
