Waterford Yacht Club had a rainy; yet very fun & successful; Dinghy Rally this year.  Dark skies, and showers on and off during the day, did not phase the 6 dinks and about 20 people who braved the weather to participate in the event.  “Miami Vice” was the theme and Crockett & Tubbs (Tom Arnott & Ross Gauld), the Miami PD “Captain” (Kelly Railean) and two undercover operatives (Sandy Records & Era Lee Caldwell), did a great job of directing the dinghies from one stop to another. The stops included the Seabrook Beach Club, Outriggers, a short stop at Rus Records’ boat out on the lake for an adult beverage refill, a boat in Seabrook Marina, and Rossetti’s Restaurant.  A big thanks to Chris Coker for allowing us to use his boat as one of the stops in the rally.  Once everyone was soaked to the skin, we all headed over to Rossetti’s for the wrap up party.  There were 40 members and guests that made it to the party and everyone was looking fabulous in their pastel duds & 80’s attire.  Rossetti’s kept the appetizers coming and wine flowing – loved the hot wings & the spinach dip!!  Prizes were awarded to the winners of the rally which included Pat & Susie, Walter & Jeanette, and two soon to be members – Chris & Lisa.  Door prizes were also awarded, and an important announcement was made introducing Tom Arnott as our new Fleet Captain.
