Thank goodness the Ballunar Fest was rescheduled!  We had a great turnout over at Rus & Sandy Records’ house for the Ballunar Breakfast and Knot Tying Seminar.  Approximately 35 members and guest got up very early on a Saturday morning in hopes of seeing some hot air balloons.  It was a bit overcast & foggy, but eventually the fog lifted and we did spot about 6 balloons.  The balloons were not as close as they had been in past years, the wind was just not cooperating with Waterford Yacht Club!  As always, Rus and Sandy cooked up a delicious breakfast, we had Mimosas & maybe a Bloody Mary or two, and we had all sorts of pastries & such to sample.  After breakfast & balloon watching, Rus gave everyone a little knot tying lesson.  Chris Richardson was able to tie a bowline in record time, Robert Donnely also won a prize for his knot tying know-how, and prospective members Tony & Karen Townsend also took home a prize!   Thank you Rus & Sandy for hosting this event, we all had a great time!
