Commodore's ball 2006

Once again the Commodore's Ball was a big success. It was said that there was more dancing this year than any other ball in recent years. The band "Back Beat" provided the tunes for the evening with a flare for "British Invasion" hits.

The theme this year was "Tropical Paradise Islands". Hawaii, Bora Bora and Cuba were just a few of the Islands representing the 2006 club cruise destinations. Keep a lookout for upcoming cruise information.

Julie Gibb, our new Commodore for 2006 led things off by recognizing the 2005 past board members. Rus Records, our past 2005 commodore, gave out jackets to the outgoing board members for their contributions last year. We recognized our yachtsman of the year, Rus Orr, and a special award was presented to Richard Collins for his work as Webmaster for the past two years.
