WYC Redfish Raft-up

March 19, 2005

Saturday’s weather was better than expected and five boats cruised to Redfish Island for the first WYC raft-up of the year.  Julie Ann set the first anchor at noon.  Nightingale rafted up shortly thereafter followed by Mele Kai, Syncopation, and Morning Star.

The afternoon was spent enjoying the sunshine, a few snacks, and each other’s company.   We always learn some amazing things while trading our sea stories – if you ever want to know how to remove a sloth from your boat, just ask Mary & Dick on Morning Star.

After watching the thunderheads build and move off to the east, everyone headed back with a nice following breeze.  Colin & I were able to catch up and take a few pictures of the fleet under sail.
