WYC Ballunarfest Dingy Cruise & Breakfast

 

 

August 27th was a perfect day for Ballunarfest.  At dawn, dingy crews from Waterford cruised to the west end of Clear Lake for a spectacular view of the hot-air balloons.  See the attached photos, as my writing skills can’t justify the site. 

After viewing all of the balloons, we cruised a short distance to the home of Rus & Sandy Records for a fantastic breakfast.  Everyone brought a dish and several recipes were shared.  

This is from Tonie Hanson – Yummy Breakfast Casserole

 

2 cans crescent rolls

2 8oz. packages cream cheese

1 ¼ cups sugar (divided)

1 t. vanilla

1 t. cinnamon

2 T. butter – melted

 

Put first can of rolls in a 9 x 13 inch pan.

Mix cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar and the vanilla.

Spread this mixture on top of the rolls.

Top with the next can of rolls (the rolls don’t have to be pinched together – they’ll spread a bit in baking).

Brush the top with melted butter.

Top with mixture of remaining sugar and the cinnamon

 

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.  Serve warm or cold.
