WYC 5th Birthday Bash - 50s Dance
Waterford Yacht Club celebrated its 5th Birthday Bash in fine style at the Moon Water Grill on Saturday, September 25th. The Bash featured a 50’s Theme Party with DJ John Prince, current host on Radio Stations MIX 96.5 FM and 107.5 KLDE FM, Oldies evening show.
Members danced the night away and especially enjoyed the Twist and Jitter Bug Contests. Marilyn Monroe and her escort, Hugh Heffner, were even there! Carla Bistrick made a big splash as a Pink Lady and Commodore Ricardo was really COOL in his jeans and tee shirt complete with cigarettes tucked in his sleeve.
Local merchants donated some fantastic prizes that members won in a drawing.
There was even a photo contest, where members voted for the best in show. Vernon Downing won the Photo Contest with an absolutely gorgeous shot of a sailboat taken in Maine.
